About us

Our History

Founded in 1954, the Villanovesi Breeders' Cooperative was born from a passion for work and a spirit of solidarity among farmers. The cooperative brings together around 150 members and 130 farms, spread across 20,000 hectares of land where 30,000 sheep graze freely.

Every day, these sheep produce high-quality milk, considered true "white gold" and the essential ingredient in crafting the cooperative’s renowned cheeses.

Values

The true driving force of the cooperative is its people: a close-knit group that has worked with dedication and expertise for over half a century. Their dairy knowledge is rooted in time-honored traditions and established principles, inspired by an "ancient code" that places environmental respect and the use of natural cultivation methods for pastures at its core.

These skills, passed down through generations, are combined with modern processing techniques that preserve authentic aromas and flavors while ensuring the highest standards of hygiene and product quality.

Certifications

In 2001, the Cooperative obtained ISO 9002 certification, confirming its commitment and dedication to strictly adhering to consumer protection standards.

This certification highlights the Cooperative's focus on quality and safety throughout every stage of production.
